2025 Radiothon for Healthcare
2025 RADIOTHON
FOR HEALTHCARE
Presented by Pharmasave
The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation is excited to announce we are raising money for several pieces of important equipment for the Women & Children’s unit at Cypress Regional Hospital. This year, Radiothon for Healthcare presented by Pharmasave will be October 23rd & 24th, 2025 and we hope we can once again count on your support!
ITEM #1: INCUBATOR & BILI LIGHT
This piece of neonatal intensive care equipment is a microenvironment that provides healing for intensively ill infants. Its design allows for the ability to control heat, humidity, oxygen, light and noise, providing the absolute best environment for helping tiny patients. Easily tracks newborn vital signs. It is listed as a major need.
KEY ADVANTAGES:
Increases availability of care at Cypress Regional Hospital
Allows for advanced care for newborns. Without this equipment, high-risk expectant mothers and babies born under emergency circumstances will have to be transferred or give birth away from home in Saskatoon.
Allows for full access to infant receiving treatment
With an elevated base, it can accommodate healthcare staff that are standing, and family members can be seated, even ones that are in wheelchairs.
Fosters increased development and bonding between parent and infant therefore reducing stress for entire family.
Bilirubin light is portable and ensures babies can room in with mothers while receiving photo therapy in hospital.
ITEM #2: WIRELESS FETAL MONITOR
A fetal monitor is a critical piece of monitoring equipment used to check the heart rate of an unborn baby prior to and during delivery. This provides medical staff important information on the well-being of the fetus and detects and potential issues.
KEY ADVANTAGES:
Vital piece of diagnostic equipment during pregnancy and delivery. Wireless capability allows the mother to walk and move freely during observation. Walking can help with pain management & overall comfort during labour.
Wireless monitor can be used in various settings including showers or birth tubs, which provide much needed flexibility for the mother.
ITEM #3: BLANKET WARMER
Blanket warmers are used for both health and comfort of patients. The current ones have reached the end of their lifecycle and are no longer used. A minor piece of equipment that has a major impact on patient well-being.
KEY ADVANTAGES:
1. Increased health & comfort of patients
When used during delivery, they help prevent hypothermia and reduce the risk of complications such as intrapartum asphyxia by helping newborns maintain a normal body temperature. Being warm is crucial for well-being of mother and baby during the delivery process.
Access to warm blankets provides comfort, relieves stress and anxiety and helps reduce chills while mothers are in labor.
2. Multi use piece of equipment
It can be accessed by other healthcare providers for use when required for surgeries, treatments or incoming traumas.
ITEM #4: SLEEPER CHAIRS
These chairs provide essential comfort and a place to rest for caregivers, before, during & after delivery.
KEY ADVANTAGES:
Comfortable stays and Emotional Support
These chairs allow family members to rest comfortably in the women & children’s unit where family presence is crucial. They provide support to patients which decreases stress on the patient, therefore helping speed up the recovery process.
Multi-Functional & Space-Saving
Serves as a chair and a bed, easy to use and space saving size makes them ideal for small rooms.
